Extra Layers Needed!

I have to say that I’m loving that it’s okay to dress casually again. The older I get the more I just want to feel warm and cozy all the time and it can be a difficult status to achieve. In Maine, we have two variations of the annual fall to winter hand off. Some years it’s full blizzard on day one, but more often than not it’s autumn slowly limping along until the snow starts to come down in late December.

Luckily for me, with the exception of my Bean boots, the wardrobe for both is fairly similar. I’m able to keep all my fall favorites easily within rotation by just throwing on tights and a kick- as* scarf. Seriously, if you were to take a sneak peak into my closet you’d be downright terrified by the (sometimes) folded piles of scarves. While infinity scarves will always be near and dear to my heart, this year I can’t get past all the blanket scarf options out there! It’s the chance to essentially wear a second sweater without looking silly and I’ve shamelessly embraced this trend.

I have several recent finds from over the past few months, but this multi-colored striped option from Nordstrom Rack is by far my favorite and I reach for it almost everytime. I actively try to avoid looking matchy matchy with my colors and I enjoy that this mustard yellow stripe works with so much without feeling too coordinated.

Now that temperatures have dropped, I know I’ll be bundling up daily and having such fantastic choices is such perfection. Don’t forget about the chance to win your own blanket scarf just in time for Winter’s chill! Check out my curent Old Navy giveaway here.

Stay warm!
