Double Trouble with Double Plaid!

By this point, I’m sure you’ve all busted out your favorite Fall layers in an attempt to stay warm. I don’t know when it happened, but it’s so cold now! Most of my cold weather layers from previous years were all stripes, but this year I’m definitely feeling a pull towards plaid.

Old Navy has been on point this year with their seasonal plaid styles. Between their fabulous blanket scarves (giveaway post coming this week), skirts, and button-downs – my closet is overflowing with new favorites! You really can’t beat their price point and quality; it’s amazing how many options you can find.

My favorite color has always been this deep forest green, so of course I was thrilled with an idea of an all-green outfit! While I did decide to not triple layer my green plaid (yes, I brought the shirt too), I loved the look of mixing similar plaids together. While you might not think of combining similar patterns, it can absolutely work. I recommend wearing them with a solid color underneath to anchor the look and keep you from looking too eccentric. Pairing these two plaid pieces really felt like Fall and I enjoyed being surrounded by the coziness!

To top off the outfit, I have to give yet another shout out to G.H. Bass for continuing to come out with my favorite leather accessories. These purses last for years and never feel outdated. (Holiday Tip: They make great Christmas gifts too!)

Going into the Thanksgiving Holiday, I want to wish you all a wonderful time with friends and family. With so much to do, keep your looks classic and comfortable for Thursday and you can’t go wrong.

P.S. Best of luck to all you Black Friday shoppers! Stay Safe!
